The main aim of a foundation inspection is to find potential issues like cracks, settling, moisture problems, or uneven floors. Discovering these problems early allows for prompt repairs or actions to prevent further damage and costly future fixes. Neglecting a foundation inspection can lead to serious consequences.
A slab steel inspection focuses on examining the reinforcing steel (rebar) embedded in a concrete slab to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the foundation. This type of inspection is usually performed before the concrete is poured and is crucial for preventing future issues with the slab, such as cracking, shifting, or failure under load.
A post-pour inspection takes place after the concrete slab has been poured and is designed to ensure that the newly poured foundation or slab meets structural and safety requirements. This inspection assesses the quality of the concrete, checks for any early signs of issues, and verifies that the concrete was poured and cured properly.
During this Frame Inspection we inspect frame members, tie-downs, structural bracing, walls, roof trusses, their connections and many more to ensure frame stage is completed as per Engineering Drawings, Australian Standards, National Construction Code and any other relevant manufacturer specifications. Frame is one of the most important inspections to ensure the safety of your house and we highly recommend this inspection by our Licensed Building Inspector.
A pre-plaster inspection is conducted after the framing, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC rough-ins are complete, but before insulation and drywall (or plaster) are installed. This inspection ensures that all structural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems are correctly installed and compliant with building codes before the walls are closed up. It’s a critical step to verify that the building is ready for insulation and final wall finishes.
Waterproofing inspection including the ability to identify potential problems before they cause damage and to prevent costly repairs. Additionally, waterproofing inspections can extend the life of your building and increase the value of the property.
A final inspection is the last stage of the building inspection process, conducted after all construction work is completed. Its purpose is to ensure that the building is safe, fully functional, and compliant with building codes and approved plans. This inspection covers every aspect of the structure, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, safety features, and overall workmanship.
